Privacy Policy

Water Wise Solutions respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to answer your request and deliver the work you hire us for.

• Details you send us. When you use our estimate or contact form, call us or email us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, your preferred way to be contacted, your city and postal code, your property type and the description of the problem.
• Photos you upload. Photos you attach to an estimate request are resized in your browser and sent to us by email so we can prepare for the visit.
• Job records. If you hire us, we keep your address, the quote, invoices, permit records and job photos. Rebate programs require these documents.
• Technical data. Our hosting and security provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and block abusive traffic.

How we use it

• To reply to you, book a visit and prepare a written estimate.
• To perform the work, apply for permits and book inspections with your municipality.
• To prepare the invoices, photos and permit proof your rebate application needs. You submit the application, or you authorize us in writing to help with it.
• To keep accounting and tax records as the law requires.
• To protect our forms from spam and abuse.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.

The rebate calculator saves your selections in your browser's session storage so they can carry over to the estimate form. That information stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the providers that help us run the business, and only as much as each one needs:

• Website hosting and security. Delivers our pages and filters malicious traffic.
• Email delivery. Sends the details from our forms to our team's inbox.
• Business email and phone. Where we receive and answer your messages and calls.
• Accounting and financing. Used when you receive an invoice, or when you ask to apply for a payment plan.

We also share information with your municipality or region when a permit, inspection or rebate application requires it, and with authorities when the law requires us to.

Some of our providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that protect information with safeguards comparable to our own.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests that do not become a job only as long as we need them to follow up with you. Job records, invoices and permit documents are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires, which is currently six years from the end of the tax year they relate to.

How we protect it

Our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Form submissions are checked for spam and size before they are sent, and photos are only delivered to our team's inbox. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it for your job.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to further use where the law allows. We will answer within 30 days. Withdrawing consent may limit what we can do, for example we cannot file a rebate claim without the job records.
