How directional drilling works
A compact drilling rig bores a small pilot hole underground along a planned route. The drill head is tracked and steered from the surface, so it can go under obstacles and around existing utilities. Once the pilot bore is complete, the new pipe is pulled back through the hole in one continuous length.
Where it makes the biggest difference
Directional drilling is ideal for crossings under driveways, roads and sidewalks, long runs across lawns and routes under mature trees. It is also a practical option for new water services to garden suites, laneway homes and outbuildings. On commercial sites, it lets us install lines without closing parking lots or entrances.

Every bore starts with utility locates and a plan that sets the path and depth. We keep a safe distance from existing gas, hydro and communication lines and track the drill head throughout the bore. Careful planning is what makes the result clean and predictable.
