Accessibility Statement

We want every homeowner and property manager to be able to learn about our services, check their rebates and reach us. We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we do

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip straight to the main content.
  • Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels so screen readers can move through them.
  • Text and buttons meet colour contrast requirements, and the layout works when text is enlarged to 200%.
  • Charts include a data table with the same numbers, so nothing depends on seeing the graphic.
  • Form fields have labels, errors are announced and explained in plain words, and you can take your time filling them in.
  • Images have text descriptions. Our illustrative images are labelled as illustrative.
  • Animations and the home page video are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limits

Some links go to municipal and regional websites that we do not control. PDF documents published by those governments may not meet the same standard. If you need information from one of them, we are happy to walk you through it by phone.
